1lb. margarine
3 C. sugar
3 large eggs (1/2 recipe - use 2 eggs)
7 C. flour - make sure it's level
4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp salt
Bake @ 350 degrees for about 13-15 minutes. Do not overcook. The cookie should be cracked on top and golden yellow, bottoms should be golden.
Frosting:
1 C. shortening (butter flavored)
1 egg white
2 T. karo syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 C. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
6 C. powdered sugar
Beat together for 5 minutes.
